This lovely period property is nestled close to the Luberon Park, which provides wonderful panoramic views. The stunning house is the ideal location for a large family occasion, or indeed several families travelling together. The grounds are fantastic, with plenty of space for your little ones to enjoy, and some gorgeous quiet areas to escape to with a book! There are some great extras available at Le Manoir de Villeneuve that include tennis lessons on the property's own hard surface tennis court, pedicures and manicures for those mums in need of a little pampering, and a private catering service so that you may really take advantage of your break. With discrete English-speaking caretakers on site, you will be well looked after.
"Wonderful house, gardens and pool. Fantastic weather and an excellent holiday. David was a great help too. We hope to be back, thank you."
The comfortable living room has everything you could need for a break from the sun, or for a cosy evening in those cooler months. Complete with sofas and chairs, a stone fireplace, satellite television (with BBC channels including CBBC) and DVD a player. Up a couple of steps from the living room you will find the dining area where there is a wooden table that seats six for family meals or up to 12 with additional matching tables.
There are three spacious double bedrooms on the ground floor. The first double bedroom has a fabulous four-poster bed with pretty light blue Provencal covers, venetian mirrors and an en-suite shower room. The second double bedroom is a pretty room and has a comfortable sofa, en-suite shower room and French windows that open out to the gardens.
The blue and white country-style kitchen is well equipped with all that you could need: double sinks, oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, food processor, toaster and kettle. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a utility room with a washing machine and two fridges. Doors open out from the utility room to a large covered dining terrace. This outside area has a wooden table and chairs seating in excess of 14, a large built in barbecue and is surrounded by pretty geraniums in terracotta pots.
"A welcoming and generous home- thank you for sharing it with us all."
From the kitchen a passage leads to the bright and sunny master bedroom suite which also has a large Knowle sofa and 2 peacock chairs and adjacent bathroom with pretty decoration. This bathroom is also accessible from the corridor. French windows open out from this bedroom to a further covered private terrace, perfect for some quiet time alone (particularly if you are travelling with other families.)
Parent Point! Owing to the age and nature of a property such as this, there are several split levels on the ground floor.
A wooden staircase leads up from the living room and dining area to two twin bedrooms with sloping eaves and pretty Provencal bedding. A second staircase leads up to two other bright and sunny twin bedrooms. The twin beds can all be converted to doubles allowing for a flexibile use of space. There is a shower room and separate WC on the ground floor.
2 x 2hr mid-week cleans are included, plus full clean and change of bedlinen after one week of a two-week stay. A cooking service is also available at extra cost and escorted tours can also be provided locally.
As you step out of the property you are met with fabulous panoramic views. Each of the ground floor bedrooms has its own private terrace, giving every member of your party the peace and space that they need. The terraces are brimming with terracotta pots in order to create a beautiful yet relaxing outdoor environment, great for long family meals on a warm summer evening.
"Fantastic place, fantastic holiday - we will be back."
There is an enormous amount of lawn at Le Manoir de Villeneuve, and it is hard to imagine that your little ones could ever be bored of exploring and running around - a family game of football could easily be accommodated!
For those budding Wimbledon champions the property features its own hard surface tennis court. For those who are serious about their game there are tennis lessons available, otherwise it is the perfect place for an informal rally with the children. You and your children can also while away the hours playing table tennis, boules, badminton or using the basketball net; no-one should be bored here.
The pool is a great space at this property and one which will keep everyone amused for hours! It is situated higher than the house and the views from here are wonderful. The pool also has Roman steps which are perfect place for toddlers to sit and play.
The gardens at this property are certainly very special, and also very private. There is not a soul for miles around!
Parent Point! The gardens are large and it is not possible to enclose them at the back. There is a lake about 10 minutes walk from the property which can be accessed from a path from the garden. As ever, young children should be supervised when outdoors.

Forcalquier is 10kms from the house and has some great amenities as well as a Monday market. It is the nearest large town to pick up some local produce and to have a relaxing coffee or alternatively there's Manosque at approx. the same distance. There are also a cafe, boulangerie and supermarket in Villeneuve, the nearest village. The fortified town of Mane, with its baroque church and 18th century château, is a short drive away, and makes for a fun outing. The cultural centre of Aix-en-Provence is 60 kms away which features celebrated annual opera and music festivals.
