Ideal for a family of 4 plus a baby. One double and one twin plus a cot(s). Sleeps up to 4 plus a baby in a cot.
Le Rosier is one of 6 lovely, child friendly gites at the stunning Beau Chateau.
This delightful gite is so called because of its walled, terraced garden, complete with scented climbing roses.
This 2 bedroom gite is fabulous for a smaller family. It has one twin room and one double room with a fresh, white bathroom.
The downstairs area has an attractive kitchen and open plan living area and once again is ideally suited for a family.
Parent Point: The living area is all on one level but there are a three tiled stairs at the base of stairs that may present a slight hazard for early walkers or keen climbers.
The enclosed terrace, complete with BBQ is ideal for a family seeking greater privacy. This terrace is also good for teenagers who would perhaps prefer to sunbathe out of site of other people. Like the others, this gite benefits from the enormous number of facilities available at Le Beau Chateau - the shared solar heated swimming pool, sand pit, trampoline and the list goes on...
For the children...if the solar heated pool, trampoline, sand pit and climbing frames are not enough there is always La Bergerie - the indoor play area - that has been beautifully renovated to provide a safe and shady area for the children to play in.
As for the grown-ups...well, if the children are happy then - with a glass of chilled rose in hand - the chances are they will be too!
There's archery, mountain biking, paragliding, horse riding, golfing and more. Le Beau Chateau has become a centre for archery. Children and adults alike can have a go at this historic sport with the help and guidance of an expert. The natural protection provided by the `bowl-like` geography of the area means that most days are perfect for having a go. Alternatively mountain bikes are available for hire and there are plenty of trails to explore. If you do need to keep in touch, there is even a Wifi hotspot here so you can log-on wirelessly.
As well as chickens and guinea pigs, there are 3 lovely pygmy goats at the property; they are Rosie, Sweetpea and Squirtle, and they are a delightful addition to Le Beau Chateau. A wonderful opportunity for your little ones to get to meet some fabulous farmyard animals.
If that is not enough there are local facilities for paragliding, horse riding, golf and more besides. You are unlikely to be stuck for things to do!

Le Beau Chateau is situated within a delightful Charentais village, perched on a hill. Its tranquil village location allows for gentle walks to one of the two bars, the 10th century church, to the village Post Office or into the countryside beyond.
The Charente is a wonderfully rural department with pleasant rolling countryside and pretty little villages. There are many, many places to explore, from the local markets and restaurants to the larger towns of Riberac, Brantome and Angouleme.
As well as the many flights now available from the UK to the region, it is also quite possible to drive to this part of France, being about 8 hours from Caen. We can recommend family friendly hotels for your journey down if you want to break the trip in the stunning Loire Valley and visit a chateau or two. Just enquire and we can advise you on what suits your family best.
